This unit plan covers the basics of economics for grades 7-12.
Unit Objectives:
With demonstrations and applications, students will have knowledge of the basic concepts of economic wants, needs, supply, demand, material goods, and services.
Students will analyze and research types of production, types of resources, and types of economic systems.
Students will understand decision-making, market structures, PACED, and scarcity.
Students will be able to have knowledge of marginal benefits, how to stimulate economic growth, and help prevent under-utilization of resources.
This unit is infused with technology, and real-world application and is designed to be engaging and rigorous. It is the perfect unit for any business class.
This unit plan is conducted through lectures, engaging activities, group-paced instruction, and discussion. Assignments range from a mix of daily assignments, time, projects graded on effort/attempt, overall appearance, completion of given requirements, and unit test.
