Economics & Pricing Activity- Students will research economics and pricing in the sports and entertainment industry online. Students will be reflecting on popular goods and services too.
Gallery Walk- Product Pricing & Profit Scenarios- Students will go around the school and find the pieces of paper with the different sports and entertainment pricing scenarios on them; they then will answer various questions about each scenario to learn more about product pricing and profits.
College Athlete Brand Article Review- History was made in the summer of 2021; college athletes can now profit from their brands. This not only can benefit the athletes but also can help bring in revenue to the colleges. Students will be reading an article that covers this topic and then answering some reflection questions to dig deeper into the issue of revenue and profit.
Concession Stand Revenue Activity- Your school concession stand wants to add a dinner meal to the menu for the late-night games. Your job is to develop a meal that can be cooked in the concession stand and isprofitable. Students will have to answer multiple questions to complete this activity.
Shark Tank Episode Reflection- This is a seven-slide worksheet with students watching a free online shark tank episode and reflecting on the different businesses presented during the episode. This activity was created to have students learn from other entrepreneurs on the show and how it can relate to the sports & entertainment industry.
