Included:
Scavenger Hunt 3-Part Activity: In this activity, students will complete a 3-Part scavenger hunt online. In part 1, students will answer multiple questions related to Savings, Investing, Insurance & Retirement to grow their knowledge of the subjects. In part 2, students will practice investing in stocks and share information on five stocks of their choice. In Part 3, students are to talk with a family member, friend, teacher, etc., and interview them. The interview questions will give students future advice from someone who has learned about savings, retirement, insurance and investing.
Life-Long Learner 2-Part Activity: Students will search online for two successful influencers, authors, or businesses per area in the finance world to help students be lifelong learners in savings, investing, insurance and retirement. Students will then go to www.canva.com to create a small Toolkit Card over the information you have collected in Part 1. This toolkit card will be given to their classmates so they can have a collection of tools to help them with savings, investing, insurance, and retirement knowledge.
Investing Game Reflection Activity- Students will play an investing game with their classmates to test their investing skills. Students will have to pay attention to all aspects of the game because they will be required to reflect on the game when it ends with multiple questions. This is a great activity to get some real-world experience with investing in a short time span while having students be fully engaged!
These activities are infused with technology, and real-world application and are designed to be engaging and rigorous. These are perfect activities for any business class.
